I hate CRMO
Well I am having a freak out moment. My daughter, Amy, who has CRMO (chronic recurring multifocal osteomylitis), is having pain again. She lives with pain on a daily basis, but at this moment she is having extensive pain in her feet, ankle and knee. I know I have a page all about what CRMO is, but I haven’t actually expressed my hate for this disease. CRMO (Chronic Recurring Multifocal Osteomylitis) is a Childhood Auto-Immune Disease (CAID). We have good times with it, where the pain doesn’t stop her from living life, but then at other times the poor kid is in a lot of pain. CRMO can be…

Project declutter
We don’t need to increase our goods nearly as much as we need to scale down our wants. Not wanting something is as good as possessing it” Donald Horban I hate clutter. It’s one of those things that gets on my nerves, but with a family its very difficult to be completely clutter free. But I am trying to get organised and be clutter free! Last week I sorted out Jaden’s toys, and we passed them onto my brother and sister in law. Its amazing the difference a sort makes even in just one area. I am planning to get into the girls…

Dear Self,
It seems to be a common practice to wish for things that aren’t supposed to be yours. Your life is not a dress rehearsal but the real thing…there are no redo’s. Go after those things that you want in your life, and make sure that they are things that are of value. Not necessarily financial gain. Living large does not cost a lot of money. Its about attitude. You can apparently live large on a beer budget…try and work out how to do this as this is where you will find true happiness. Obviously money helps, but for today you don’t actually need a…

Family Catchups!
One of the things I love the most is catching up with my family. My brothers, their wives, Mum and Lones and Lynda – and their respective partners. Family has become so much more important to us all over the last few years since Dad died. To be honest I still can’t believe he is gone, but that is a whole other blog post that I may or may not write about at some other time! Yesterday, we met up at the Samford Hotel. It was one of the best food places we have ever been too. We decided to order a family size pizza. Think…

My Favourite photo of Dion and Myself!
This is my favourite photo of Dion and myself! We were at a friends wedding and we were enjoying hanging out. Life seems so much simpler back then 🙂 In saying that, I wouldn’t swap then for now. Looking at photos makes your heart skip a beat sometimes! Its interesting how good life was, but how great life is now. We have a lovely lifestyle with our four beautiful kids. Life is chaotic but lovely.

A little perspective goes a long way!
Do you sometimes feel that life is flying by you? The kids are growing too quickly? Half the year has flown by and what have you actually achieved? I often think of these things and ponder what I would do in an ideal world? My ideal would definitely consist of more free time and more money. I get that its not all about money, but if we had more, we could give our kids so many more experiences. We want the kids to experience opportunities and opportunities cost money. More money = more choices. I would love a housekeeper so that I can spend more quality…

The mid year holidays are flying…
At the start of every holiday I have all these grandeous plans. We are going to do this and that and have a ball. While the first week got rained out, and filled with appointments, the second week seems to be flying by ever so quickly. Today is Wednesday, and we have not accomplished all the things that we wanted to do. Today we went to Kmart and put a razor wing scooter on layby for Amy and Bethany, and we bought a couple of things we needed. While we were at Stockland we dealt with a medicare issue that needed to be dealt with. Then…

A Day in Brisbane City for Jaden
This morning we had an appointment on Wickham Tce in Brisbane for our little boy. He had an appointment at Attune hearing services, because it seems that he may have an issue with his hearing. We had noticed that his language development is behind for his age – he says appoximately 5 words, maybe 6, and we had also realised that sounds and noises that should make him question what is happening around him, weren’t even causing him to check out what was going on. We are not quite sure how damaged his hearing is, but I have this feeling that we are on another journey. I…
