Spring and the heat of renovating!
Its only been 1 month and 10 days since Spring started and I am not coping well with the heat. Its not even Summer yet. Summer starts on the 1 December and I am wondering if I have a thermostat issue. Is it just me…or is everyone feeling overheated? Are my hormones going crazy or have I just forgotten how hot a true Summer can be here in Queensland. I miss our old house in Chancellor Park. It was a lovely 3 bedroom home, with a pool. Looking back – it was very nice. Not enough room for 6 people – 4 of which are growing and need…

Do you have a goal for October?
Over the last few months we – hubby and I have been using a white board to remind ourselves of things that need doing, and then we also use the white board to nut out plans or use the white board as a place where we can ‘brain dump’ everything we have on our mind. Its been great because before we clean the board we take a photo and then download it to the computer where we can flesh out the ideas or plan the details of the situation/circumstance further. Sometimes having the information on paper or on the computer in front of us helps us – me…

Forget and do not look at yesterdays post! ….Move forward to good things and Beanie Parties
Today I woke up feeling good. What a relief! Just don’t go back to yesterday’s post when I was having a grumble about feeling out of sorts, and lets face it – I was Mrs Cranky Pants yesterday – so I don’t want you going backwards – GO Forwards! As I woke this morning from a lovely dream about our little family winning a prize home on the Gold Coast, I decided that today – I was going to be kind to myself and give myself permission to enjoy my day! Afterall, yesterday I had an ‘internal melt down’ which was a bit nasty. Yesterday was supposed to be…

Mrs Cranky Pants…!
Are you a forward thinker or a backward thinker? This post has nothing to do with bottoms. In fact its more about life and how sometimes you think you’re going in one direction, but somehow, for some reason, you end up going in another. This morning I got up on the wrong side of the bed – I have felt out of sorts all day, and I hate feeling like that. Nothing’s wrong – its just that 24 hours – you know the ’24 hours’ that happens from time to time – when you feel a little ‘out of sorts’? All day I have been reminding myself –…

The Tooth fairy is coming! The Tooth fairy is coming!
Today we hit a milestone. Chanel lost her very first tooth today, and I think that she pulled on it before the tooth was ready to come out. She has been a little desperate over the last few days for money…apparently she has a list of things she is saving for and it seems that she is happy to sell her teeth for them. After the tooth ‘came out’ Chanel tried to to convince me that the rate for the tooth has gone up. She thinks that the Tooth fairy has come into some money and the first tooth should get her $20. Let me just say…

The mummy List!
Tonight for some reason I have about 10 things on my mind and I am having an issue with what I should be writing about, but I do know that I want to write about something…..so here it is – the list of whats on my mind. So here I am trying to live with purpose and not live reactively and I find myself with a huge list of things I need to do. Some of them important, some of them not so important – but none the less needing to be done. 1. Amy is going to camp next week and she is nervous about going to camp.…

Putting a price on Fun!
A couple of weeks ago to buy the Myfun – Seaworld, Movieworld and Wet’n Wild tickets for the family. We haven’t done anything like that before, but we discovered yesterday that if you want to buy tickets at the gate (Movie World), you will be paying the hefty price of $79.95 for an adult for one day at the theme park, and $49.95 for children and concession tickets. Because of the cost involved for a large-ish family it made sense for us to buy the VIP MyFun Tickets – Myfun.com.au. We went to Movie world today and I learned a couple of things. I learned that Amy is…

Uh oh! Soon it will be Spring!
September is looming. The days are turning into weeks and here we are mid July. I have been wanting to get out and go walking with Jaden to start losing some weight – I don’t want to get to Spring and Summer and still feel frumpy. I have to admit that it is hard in winter to get out and exercise, and the days are shorter, but between my kids being unwell and the weather not being good to get out, I have found myself getting a little frustrated. Frustrated is an interesting word. The truth is I want the rewards of exercise, but I really don’t want to do…
